Portland Design Works Timber To Town cycling gear
Portland Design Works already has the playful element down pat with things like Zit Bits to fill out your unused braze-ons or their Tube Taco for carrying spares or a lunch snack? Plus, they do commuter practical pretty well, too. But now, Timber to Town adds a new premium PDW line of cycling accessories taking nice designs to the next level with more refined construction for more adventure capability.
PDW ZigZag Bottle Cage

The $39 ZigZag is a pretty standard looped tubular stainless steel water bottle cage. Anyone who already rides with stainless cages knows that’s a good thing.
Simple, secure, and adjustable with a little bending the 5mm diameter ZigZag cages are made in Japan and weigh about 80g a piece. Portland Design Works gives the welded cage long mounting slots for good adjustability and a nice tree cutout for the Timber To Town vibe.
Plus, each cage comes packaged in small “stash” bag that you can use for organizing snacks or anything else on your ride.
PDW Cloud Cap C02 Inflator
Also for $39 you can pick up the Cloud Cap C02 Inflator, an all-metal fast inflator with a thread-on check and simple thumb lever to control airflow into your tire.
The 36g inflator also includes a stitched leather sleeve to protect your hand from the cold release of CO2 pressure.
And it also gets its own tiny bag that will protect the inflator head or another really small stash.
PDW Cloud Cap Gravel Pump
Lastly, the most techy of the bunch is the $89 Cloud Cap Gravel Pump with a CO2 inflator built in, too.
Again with a full metal construction, the 27mm diameter aluminum body is 25cm overall length when closed, and weighs 178g. That should be big enough to get your gravel or MTB tires up to pressure rather quickly, while still being compact enough to fit in a jersey pocket. The pump has a thread-on reversible Presta/Schrader chuck, and a smooth barrel.
On the top of the head, you can thread a CO2 cylinder into the knurled alloy end, and twist this control knob to blast air in to quickly reinflate a tire or reseat a stubborn tubeless bead.
Like the other Portland Design Works Timber To Town gear, the Cloud Cap Gravel Pump also comes with a protective bag, although like for the solo CO2 head, this long skinny one is most suited just for pumps.
